Orpheus Theatre was founded in 1984, and has been firmly rooted in the community ever since. By offering workshops for children and teens, Orpheus continues to expose children to the world of theatre: teaching lessons, providing performance opportunities, and instilling a genuine love for theatre in area youth. Orpheus Theatre has recently begun working with President Carol A. Blazina of Foothills to establish a home for Orpheus Children’s Theatre for workshops, rehearsals and productions. Orpheus’ Executive Director and children’s theatre coordinator, Sarah Lynn Serafin stated that “Orpheus is committed to enhancing children’s programming and our relationship with Foothills to benefit children and teens throughout the region.” For more information visit http://www.orpheustheatre.org

The Little Delaware Youth Ensemble (LDYE) is a teaching ensemble for string musicians from ages 8-18 that rehearses weekly at Foothills Performing Arts Center.
Founded in 2000 by Julie Signitzer and a group of dedicated parents, LDYE's mission is to enable talented elementary and secondary school musicians from rural Central New York and the Southern Tier to develop their full potential as orchestral performers by providing them with the opportunity to rehearse and perform under the guidance of experienced professional performers and music educators.
Each season, LDYE members present three public concerts and host a two-day workshop with renowned guest musicians. By providing musical leadership of the highest quality, experience with original repertoire from widely varied genres, and the stimulation of a cooperative learning environment, LDYE has established a unique culture of excellence.
If you'd like to audition to join the LDYE, or invite them to perform for you, please contact Uli Speth at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (607) 435-3857.
