Foothills Performing Arts & Civic Center welcomes you to audition for their 2024 theatrical season opener, Twisted:The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier, directed by Allie Tabor-Church!
Twisted is a musical parody that retells the classic tale of Aladdin from the villain’s point of view! Long ago in a Magic Kingdom, one misunderstood Royal Vizier will go on a quest to save his city from its bumbling sultan, an invading prince, and the most notorious thief to ever live. This is an adult, satirical retelling of your favorite hand drawn animated films.

Auditions will be held Thursday, December 21st at 7pm in the Atrium at Foothills Performing Arts & Civic Center.
Performance dates: Friday February 23rd, Saturday February 24th, Sunday February 25th and Friday March 1st, Saturday March 2nd and Sunday March 3rd.
Rehearsals begin January 2nd, 2024
Production week begins February 18th, 2024

Princess (Female Identifying, 18+)- Daughter to the Sultan, stifled by palace life, who wishes for comfortable freedom, adventure and love.
Sherrezade (Female Identifying, 18+)- A beautiful palace courtesan who tells stories for a living, and falls in love with the hero of our story.
Track #1(Male Identifying, 18+)- Sultan, Djinn, Scar, Ensemble
Track #2 (Male Identifying, 18+)- Captain, Pregnant Girl’s Father, Ensemble
Track #3 (Female Identifying, 18+)- Belle, Sea Witch, Ensemble
Track #4 (Female Identifying, 18+)- Pregnant Girl, Cruella, Ensemble
Track #5 (Male Identifying, 18+)- Gaston, Lead Angry Guy, Ensemble
Track #6 (Female Identifying,18+)- Cheerful Woman, Guard, Hook, Ensemble
Attendees will be asked to sing selections from the song “Happy Ending” (which can be found on Youtube or Spotify) with a provided backing track. There will be a short dance call, as well as “cold read” scenes which will be provided at the audition.
