Our Mission Statement
The Foothills Performing Arts Center is a centrally located, state-of-the-art civic, cultural and educational center that benefits the entire tri-county region of central New York. The Center will help to improve the quality of life for residents throughout the tri-county region and will help to strengthen the economy in diverse ways, by attracting and retaining professionals and businesses, and by keeping young people in the area after college.

As a production and a presentation house, the Foothills Performing Arts Center offers more than entertainment.  The Center’s educational and outreach programs will focus on preserving and presenting the history of the performing arts of New York State.  The Center’s primary program activities will be:

• PRODUCING live performing arts events, a substantial number of which, will focus on the diverse history of the performing arts of New York State produced by several well-known local organizations and Foothills’ resident company.
  
  
• PRESERVING the history of the performing arts of New York State through research, documentation and cataloguing, as well as re-creating productions and presentations from New York State’s past.
  
  
• PRESENTING a broad mix of performances that will appeal to the wide regional demographics found in the tri-county region from Broadway touring companies to symphonic performances. The Foothills Performing Arts Center will be a civic, cultural and educational center for the entire tri-county region by providing:
  
  
  • RENTABLE OPPORTUNITIES of the facility’s flexible spaces by the public, businesses, local colleges and civic organizations for family gatherings, seminars, classes, rehearsals, workshops, trade shows, and other events.
    
    
  • QUALITY PERFORMANCES that will strive to attain the highest standards in the performing arts while offering stimulating fare to all social and economic demographics.
    
    
  • STRONG CUSTOMER SERVICE with scrupulous attention to detail. The Center’s enticing surroundings will foster a warm and inviting atmosphere to create a memorable experience for the visitor.
    
    
  • POSITIVE COMMUNITY RELATIONS meeting the needs of the community.

From Albany: Take I88 West to Oneonta Exit 15.  At end of ramp turn left onto Lettis Highway and merge into right-hand lane.  At end of highway turn right (you will pass Hannaford Plaza and Home Depot).  After passing Home Depot merge right onto Main Street remain in right-hand lane.  Continue through first traffic signal on Main Street, at second traffic signal make a right hand turn onto Market Street.  The Foothills Performing Arts Center is approximately two blocks down on Market Street on the right-hand side of the street.

From Binghamton: Take I88 East to Oneonta Exit 14.
